The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Chotanagpur Law College, Ranchi, organized a heartwarming event to raise awareness and encourage social responsibility among students and the community. With great enthusiasm and a strong sense of service, NSS volunteers set out to distribute clothes, food, and essential supplies to those in need, significantly impacting the lives of the underprivileged.
Supporting Education: The day began with visits to Bhargava Primary School, Ekka Middle School near the Namkum post office, and Jagannathpur Primary School. At each school, volunteers handed out notebooks, pens, pencils, and other essential stationery to over 800 students, supporting their academic journey.
Community Aid: The initiative continued with distributing old and new clothes, grocery items, blankets, and other essential supplies to the residents of the Lepers Colony in Jagannathpur. This generous gesture provided comfort and support during the harsh winter months. Volunteers gave out over 50 blankets and many grocery packets, including rice, pulses, and cooking oil, helping to ease some struggles for the residents.
Through this impactful initiative, the NSS unit celebrated International Human Rights Day and demonstrated true service and social responsibility. Their efforts reflect Chotanagpur Law College’s commitment to social justice, nurturing students into responsible citizens who understand the importance of giving back to society.
